UnionPay QR Code Payment is a cashless payment solution that enables customers to make payments with a QR Code. This service is available for customers on the UnionPay APP.

+ How can merchants accept UnionPay QR code payments?

You can accept payments via UnionPay QR code through 2 methods:

• POS machine
• Android/IOS APP

+ How does the UnionPay QR code payment work via POS?

1. The client logs in the UnionPay APP
2. The merchant sets the amount in the POS machine or the client sets the amount in the APP
3. The client scans the merchant's UnionPay QR code or the merchant uses the POS terminal to scan the client’s QR code

+ How does the UnionPay QR code payment work via mobile APP?

1. The merchant logs in the Silkpay APP
2. The merchant enters the transaction amount in the APP
3. The client scans the merchant's QR code

+ My customer can’t make any transactions through UnionPay QR code. What should I do?

If you customer is facing issues, please try one of these methods:

• Restart the POS terminal or ask your client to refresh his UnionPay APP
• Check the data connection as strong internet connection (Wi-Fi or mobile data) is required
• Update to the latest version of the APP or uninstall and reinstall the APP

+ How do I know my customers’ payment status?

After your customers have made the payment, the status will be displayed on the screen. Alternatively, you may view the transaction in the transaction history section in the POS terminal, Silkpay APP or UnionPay APP(bo pos app)

+ What is the transaction limit for UnionPay QR Code payment?

Cloud QuickPass (Yunshanfu), China UnionPay's QR code, has a transaction limit of 500 euros per transaction.

To process a large transaction, we suggest using the UnionPay POS terminal, which does not have a limit on transaction amount. The limit is based on the payer's UnionPay card. For example, a merchant can accept up to 300,000 euros per transaction via the POS terminal.

+ What is UnionPay QR code pricing?

Account opening fees may apply. However, there are no maintenance fees and no commitment. Sellers pay a commission rate per transaction on successful transactions only. For more information on UnionPay QR code pricing, contact our team.

+ If the client pays with RMB, in which currency does the seller receive the money?

The merchant will receive the transction’s amount in Euros. The change or cost associated with the exchange rate has no impact on the seller.

+ How to open a UnionPay QR code account?

To open a UnionPay QR code account (in-store, online or both) with Silkpay, you will be asked to send us the documents in the list below:

• Your company’s registration certificate
• The articles of association (signed and sealed)
• Identification documents and proofs of address (administrative invoice for example) dating from less than three months of legal representative and shareholders (holding > 10% of capital or voting right)
• The company’s bank account number. We collect your company's bank account number because it is necessary to send you the payments received from your clients. All the collected bank account information is encrypted and highly secured to protect your data. Please contact us if you are an association or an auto-entrepreneur or if you have any questions about the documents to provide.

+ How long does it take to open an account?

After verifying the documents, it will take up to 7 business days to open a UnionPay QR code account. In case of emergency, it is possible to complete the opening in 48 hours.
